In this article, we are showing off the new stats and rules for the upcoming Eldar (Aeldari) ranges set to come out in less than a week.
So let's have to look and see if they have improved any, shall we?
Eldar Ranger - 14pts per model
M | WS | BS | S | T | W | A | LD | Sv |
7 | 3+ | 2+ | 3 | 3 | 1 | 1 | 7 | 5+ |
Stat line, with the exception of the BS going to 2+ remains unchanged currently.
When it comes to special rules they have a rule called Advanced Positions, with is just forward deployment. They do get to use the new Battle Focus rule, which could mean they are will be as nippy as the rest of the Eldar force, and just as sneaky.
The ranger cloak remains relatively unchanged with it giving you +1 to save if you are receiving the benefits of cover.
Eldar Long Rifle
Range | Type | S | AP | D | Special Rules |
36" | Hvy 1 | 4 | -1 | 1 | 6's to wound cause MW1, ignore looks out sir |
So again, nothing in the way of a huge improvement, thankfully they haven't seen a cost increase and have remained a Troop choice, which is refreshing when Aspect Warriors are now all elite (apparently)
They will have some fancy equipment that you can give them and the strands of fate rule do mean that you could defo make sure 1 hit is a 6. But other than that, it ain't blowing my skirt up.
